JOYS and BENEFITS of WRITING
We just included the ones that ar e important to us. When you think of additional JOYS of writing, please let us know through the COMMENTS section. Thanks!

JOYS OF WRITING

1. Brings Peace
Only through writing thoughts down, looking at them, can we then decide what to keep and which to discard. By this process of writing we can cope with the myriad thoughts whirling through our consciousness and find peace of mind.

2. Clarifies Thoughts
Writing not only brings peace, but also clarifies thoughts. Clarified thoughts can often be achieved when those thoughts are written clearly and precisely. A sentence is written, words are re-worked as thoughts become more clear.

3. Organizes Minds
Minds are complex. They have promises to keep, decisions to make and miles to go before they sleep. Some have a hard time shutting their thoughts and minds off and sleep eludes them. Jotting thoughts down may help shut off the mind. Some use drugs to help them relax to prepare for sleep. A busy mind with little organization robs them of their precious necessary slumber.

BENEFITS OF WRITING

1. Monetary for Some
There are a select few who actually make their living putting pen to paper. It used to be on paper but now a computer is the “paper” of choice for many. Writers find employment as Journalists, Copywriters, Editors, Novelists, the list goes on and on.

2. Emotional
Many people enjoy receiving a hand written letter or card. When someone takes the time to hand-write their thoughts to another, it becomes very personal, carries much meaning and is received with gratitude. Even when the sender of a birthday or Christmas card adds a few sentences in their own handwriting, the recipient is very pleased and will usually respond.

Writing by hand is becoming more and more rare since the advent of computers. There is less emphasis placed on writing in schools today than a few years ago. Some school, however, are beginning to place greater importance on the written word. English teachers at high school and college levels have noticed the deterioration of writing skills and it is once again regaining its place in Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic.

This Blog is about Writing. We intend it to fill the void for elementary and high school, even some college students to provide feedback their writing before they turn it in for a grade. Here we are non-judgmental, only helpful If a word is misspelled, we want to give you some pointers to help you know how to remember the spelling next time you write it.

Our GOAL is to HELP STUDENTS and OTHERS with WRITING the best written documents possible. We encourage your feedback on our progress. We are not, but strive to be as close to perfect as we can be. We all need help at times. We need to be brave enough to admit it.

THANK YOU for HELPING US HELP YOU!

WRITING AILMENTS

Find help here for all kinds of Writing Ailments like those SPELLING DEMONS, words that seem to always become misspelled. I seems that no matter how many times “that” word is referenced or looked up in a dictionary, it most often is spelled or used incorrectly. “That” word’s correct spelling seems to be wandering around somewhere or lying-in-wait to be misused or misspelled! Their number is fortunately few for they are real SPELLING DEMONS!
